The CMEG weekend bootcamp is conducted several times per year and is taught by Marki Costello, owner of CMEG and granddaughter of comedy screen legend, Lou Costello.


• Bootcamp Overview
  The bootcamp starts on Saturday at 10 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m., continuing on Sunday, same time. During the weekend, you'll practice reading all types of host copy and learn basic techniques of television hosting. On Sunday, you'll dress up and look your best as the workspace transforms into a television studio. You'll read from a teleprompter and cue cards with a professional sound/light/camera crew, and walk away that day with a videotape of your performace. When you're done with this weekend, you will have the confidence and knowledge to audition as a television host.

  • Learn how to break down host copy and make the best choices.
  • Learn how to work and interact with a co-host.
  • Learn how to work with a teleprompter and read que cards.
  • Learn how to service a product while incorporating your personality.
  • Learn the secrets of nailing a host audition and much more!

As the seminar fills up quickly, we require students to put down a non-refundable deposit of $250. You may move the deposit to be used for a future seminar, but you must notify us no later than 72 hours before the seminar.
